Jai Club - Privacy Policy
Read the Jai Club privacy policy: what information we collect, how we use and protect it, your data-protection rights, and how to contact us with any privacy questions.
Information we collect
Account and identity data
When you create a Jai Club account, we collect your full name, email address, mobile number, and date of birth. If you choose to sign in through a third-party provider such as Google or Apple, we receive only the subset of profile data you explicitly authorise that provider to share with us. We do not access your contacts, calendar, or any other device data without your permission.
Usage and activity data
We automatically collect technical and behavioural data when you use the Jai Club app, including pages and features accessed, session duration, tap and scroll interactions, device type, operating system version, app version, and IP address. This data is used to maintain service reliability and to understand how users navigate the platform.
Payment data
All payments on Jai Club are handled by PCI-DSS-compliant payment gateways that support UPI instruments including PhonePe, Google Pay, and BHIM, alongside debit and credit cards and net banking. Jai Club stores only a tokenised reference to your chosen payment method; full card numbers, CVV codes, and UPI PINs are never written to our servers. We retain transaction records, including amount, date, and merchant reference, for up to seven years to satisfy statutory accounting and tax obligations under Indian law.
How we use your information
Service delivery and improvement
We use the information we collect to operate your Jai Club account, authenticate your identity at sign-in, process and confirm transactions, deliver in-app features, and investigate and resolve technical issues. Aggregated usage data informs product decisions, for example, identifying which features are most used helps us prioritise development effort and eliminate friction in the user journey.
Personalisation and marketing communications
With your consent, Jai Club uses your activity and preference data to personalise content, recommendations, and promotional offers within the app. We may also send marketing emails or push notifications about Jai Club events and updates. You can opt out of marketing communications at any time by tapping "Unsubscribe" in any email or adjusting notification preferences in the app's Settings screen. Transactional messages such as booking confirmations, payment receipts, and security alerts cannot be opted out of while your account remains active.
Legal compliance and data sharing
We process and, where necessary, disclose your personal data to comply with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDPA), court orders, or lawful requests from Indian regulatory or law-enforcement authorities. We do not sell your data. Service providers engaged by Jai Club, including cloud infrastructure operators, payment processors, and analytics platforms, receive only the data they need to perform their contracted functions and are bound by written confidentiality agreements. Certain financial records are retained for up to seven years as required by the Income Tax Act and applicable GST regulations.
Your rights
Access, correction, and erasure
As a Data Principal under the DPDPA, you have the right to request a summary of the personal data Jai Club processes about you, correct any information that is inaccurate or outdated, and request deletion of data that is no longer necessary for its original purpose. To submit a request, use the Privacy & Data section within the Jai Club app or email [email protected]. We acknowledge all requests within 72 hours and aim to resolve them within 30 days.
Consent withdrawal and data portability
You may withdraw consent for optional data processing, such as location-based personalisation or marketing communications, at any time through the app's Privacy Settings, without losing access to core Jai Club features. You also have the right to receive a portable copy of your personal data in a structured, machine-readable format on request.
Grievance redressal
If you believe Jai Club has not handled your personal data in accordance with this policy or applicable Indian law, you may file a grievance with our Grievance Officer via the contact details in Section 4 below. If the matter is not resolved to your satisfaction within the prescribed period, you may approach the Data Protection Board of India once it is formally constituted under the DPDPA.
